Terms of Service
Effective June 14, 2026.
These Terms govern your use of Checkride107 (the “Service”), operated by the Checkride107 team (“we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. What Checkride107 is — and is not
- Checkride107 is an independent study aid for the FAA Part 107 (UAG) remote-pilot knowledge test: a citation-backed question bank, practice exams, study tools, and an AI tutor.
- We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the FAA or any government agency.
- The Service is not legal, regulatory, or aviation advice, and it is not a substitute for hands-on flight proficiency. Always verify specifics against the current 14 CFR Part 107 and FAA guidance.
- Passing our practice material does not guarantee you will pass the official FAA exam.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase. If you create an account, you're responsible for activity under it. We use passwordless “magic link” sign-in; keep access to your email secure.
3. Plans, billing & the pass guarantee
- Free preview — no charge, no card required.
- Pro — a one-time $39 purchase that unlocks Pro features for a 90-day access window. It is not a recurring subscription.
- Team — cohort licensing for schools and organizations; terms are provided at purchase.
- Pass guarantee. If you genuinely prepared with Checkride107 Pro and still failed the official FAA exam, we will refund your $39 Pro fee. To be eligible, all of the following must be true and documented:
- Demonstrated readiness in the app. On your account, you reached our in-app readiness gate — completing full practice exams with passing scores that indicate you were prepared — before sitting the official test. We verify this against your account activity.
- You took the official test after purchasing. You sat the FAA Part 107 (UAG) knowledge test at an authorized testing center on a date after your Pro purchase date.
- You did not pass. Your official Airman Knowledge Test Report (AKTR) shows a failing score.
- Verifiable proof. You provide a dated, itemized receipt or proof of payment for the exam (showing the date and time you tested) and your official failing score report — documentation we can independently verify.
- Timely request. You email support@checkride107.com from your account email within 30 days of your exam date.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details. Except as stated in the pass guarantee, purchases are generally non-refundable once Pro access has been used; contact us if something went wrong and we'll be reasonable.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, bulk-export, resell, or redistribute the question bank, explanations, or other content;
- share, resell, or transfer your account or access to others;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits or security of the Service (including the AI tutor's usage limits);
- use the Service unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights.
5. Intellectual property
The Service — including the question bank, explanations, design, and the Checkride107 name and marks — is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own exam preparation. Citations point to FAA source material, which is U.S. government work; our selection, wording, and arrangement are ours. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation.
6. AI tutor
The AI “Ask the Examiner” tutor generates explanations of the stored, citation-backed answers. It is constrained to explain — not replace — the cited source, but AI output can still contain mistakes. Treat explanations as a study aid and rely on the citation and current FAA guidance for anything that matters.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will help you pass any exam.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (and to $39 if you used the free tier).
9. Changes, termination & governing law
We may update the Service and these Terms; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date, and continued use means you accept them. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Service's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
